Imma openin' my rant!

I'm sure everyone here's seen that video about the Vermont High School football game that was on Yahoo, AOL, freebeerandhotwings, and ESPN. The one with the kid who spiked the ball after catching the field kick? That's my high school. I know the kid. Everyone says it's his fault, its not. The refs sucked, the clock ran out, the play should've been dead. Unlike what everyone says, he /was/ in school, wasn't "so embarassed he'd be gone for a week". I feel people should know that Casey's not stupid, he's a nice, smart guy. He thought the play was dead because the clock ran out, how was he to know the refs would extend it?
Oh, and the camera crews showed up AFTER THE PEP BAND FINISHED!
